Maintenance Mechanic

Tekberry is looking for a highly qualified and motivated Maintenance Mechanic to work with our client, the world's largest manufacturer of professional dental products and technologies. As a W2 employee you will have access to health benefits.

The Maintenance Mechanic will be responsible for performing diagnosis of problems, repairs and necessary preventive maintenance on all plant equipment including automated machines, communication systems, alarms, and HVAC.

Responsibilities:

  • Follows all pertinent company Standard Operation Procedures (SOP).
  • Repairs complex electrical equipment including automated machines, controls, panels, relays, communication systems, and alarms.
  • Relocates and installs electrical and mechanical equipment with minimal instructions after general assignment.
  • Sets-up, exchanges, adjusts and maintains tooling in machine to maintain required part specifications.
  • Diagnoses problems and trouble shoots equipment failures; makes repairs or replaces parts.
  • Performs tests on equipment and makes necessary adjustments for successful operation of equipment. Installs power, light, electronic, and control circuits.
  • Performs preventive maintenance on all plant equipment including automated machines, communication systems, alarms.
  • Dismantles, repairs and reassembles pneumatic hand tools, cylinders, & gear boxes.
  • Provides maintenance support for restroom sinks, toilets, showers, and drains. Maintains grounds including snow removal as required.
  • Completes routine paperwork as required Operates production equipment to check work as required.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Must be available for Call-In repairs on off shifts.
  • Wears required personal protective equipment (PPE) for work being performed.

Qualifications:

  • GED or High School Diploma required
  • Advanced vocational / technical training a plus.
  • Experience operating machine shop equipment to require specification, including CNC machine centers
  • Ability to read, understand, SOPs and other policies and procedures.
  • PC literacy.

ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

Manufacturing plant environment with some abnormal variations in temperature, unavoidable fumes, noise, dust, and atmospheric conditions.
