Job Title: Component Testing & Validation Program Manager (CT&V Program Manager)
Department: Component Testing & Validation (CT&V) Reports to: Director of CT&V
Position Context: The CT&V Program Manager is a critical interface role responsible for the seamless execution of component testing activities within the constraints of vehicle development schedules. While module engineers ensure technical depth and test coverage, this role ensures that timing, readiness, risk, and cost are effectively controlled to protect the integrity of program sign-off milestones. It is a high-visibility, delivery-focused position that anchors the CT&V contribution to successful product launches.
Key Role Criteria:
1. Program-Level Coordination
Act as the single point of contact for all CT&V activities within assigned vehicle programs.
Synchronize validation milestones with program development phases (PT, EP, VP builds).
Coordinate planning across modules to avoid conflicts in lab usage, part readiness, and testing dependencies.
2. Planning & Execution Oversight
Consolidate and manage DVP&R execution plans across all relevant modules.
Monitor test item readiness, scheduling, and execution status for full traceability.
Organize and lead regular readiness reviews with engineers, MMLs, and test labs to resolve open items.
3. Deviation & Risk Management
Track validation-related risks (e.g., failed tests, late parts, resource bottlenecks).
Facilitate risk mitigation plans with engineering, procurement, and lab teams.
Ensure all deviations are documented, assessed, and communicated for proper approval flow.
4. Cost, Timing & Resource Alignment
Collaborate with finance, lab management, and purchasing to align test costs and schedules with program budgets.
Identify optimization opportunities in test consolidation, outsourcing, and logistics.
Track cost performance and generate monthly CT&V cost summaries per program.
5. Cross-Functional Interface
Serve as the CT&V representative in CE reviews, milestone meetings, and program gate reviews.
Ensure validation issues and test results are effectively communicated back to design and quality teams.
Coordinate resolution of cross-functional testing blockers involving design, purchasing, and manufacturing.
