Objective: Develop, optimize, and maintain CNC programs for multi-axis machining equipment (3, 4, 5-axis, etc.), ensuring the manufacture of high-precision mechanical components in accordance with engineering drawings, CAD models, and technical specifications, while maximizing production efficiency, quality, process safety, and continuous improvement in machining operationsKey Functions:Develop, modify, and optimize CNC programs for lathes and multi-axis machining centers (3-, 4-, and 5-axis), ensuring extremely tight tolerances for super high‐precision components.Interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and 2D/3D CAD models to define machining sequences, toolpaths, and appropriate manufacturing strategies.Analyze and select cutting tools, speeds, feeds, and machining strategies for materials such as stainless steels and high‐temperature alloys, ensuring part quality and maximizing tool life.Perform CNC program simulations to identify and prevent collisions, tool interferences, and machining errors prior to releasing programs to production.Optimize machining tool paths to reduce cycle times without compromising part quality or causing excessive tool wear or breakage.Identify and resolve technical issues related to CNC programming, machining processes, or operating conditions, implementing corrective and preventive actions as required.Support machine setup activities, critical parameter adjustments, and first article validation in coordination with production and quality teams.Work closely with manufacturing engineers, CNC machine operators, and quality personnel to ensure compliance with technical requirements and aerospace quality standards.Maintain accurate documentation of CNC programs, revisions, and changes to ensure traceability, configuration control, and support for audits and continuous improvement initiatives.Manage and maintain the cutting tool library, ensuring proper identification, standardization, availability, and controlled usage.Provide technical support and training to CNC operators as required, and participate in the implementation of new machining technologies, software, and advanced manufacturing practices.KPI'sReducing cycle times through optimized CNC programming and toolpath strategiesReduction of scrap rates and rework caused by CNC programming errors or process inefficiencies.Consistent achievement of critical dimensional tolerances in accordance with engineering drawings and quality requirements.Implementation and maintenance of standardized, well-documented CNC programs ensuring traceability, repeatability, and continuous improvement.First Article Acceptance Rate (FAI Support KPI)SkillsProficiency in CAD/CAM software such as Mastercam, Siemens, or Fanuc, with solid knowledge of applied mathematics, geometry, trigonometry, and materials; proficient in G-code programming.Knowledge of CNC programming using High-Feed and High-Speed machining strategies.Preferred experience in multi-axis machine programming (3- and 5-axis) and familiarity with industrial manufacturing environmentsExperience in automotive, aerospace, medical, metallurgical, or custom manufacturing industries.Advanced technological environment with constant interaction with cross-functional teams.Schedule flexibility to accommodate production and operational needs.Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, clear communication, organizational skills, and ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
