Position: CNC Programmer
Job Summary
Full‑time, on‑site CNC Programmer located in Marieville, QC. Create, modify, and optimize CNC programs for cutting tools and related components, ensuring efficient, accurate, and safe machining processes.
Responsibilities
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Select appropriate tooling and machining strategies for milling and other operations.
- Set machining parameters and establish programs for production.
- Collaborate with machinists and production staff to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
- Improve cycle times and maintain consistent quality standards.
- Document programs and maintain accurate records.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives on the production floor.
Qualifications
- Strong CNC programming skills for creating, adjusting, and optimizing machining programs.
- Experience with machining and milling operations, including setup, tooling selection, and process optimization.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications accurately.
- Familiarity with CNC controls and CAM software commonly used in manufacturing environments.
- Relevant technical diploma, apprenticeship, or equivalent experience in machining, manufacturing, or mechanical engineering.
- Strong attention to detail, problem‑solving skills, and commitment to safety and quality.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with production teams and work independently in a fast‑paced setting.
- Previous experience in cutting tools, metalworking, or a similar precision manufacturing environment is an asset.
