Sr. Consultant, Back End Developer - Java/Golang

Responsibilities

• Build, implement, and maintain flexible and modular solutions that enhance the client experience across business lines in Java and GoLang.
• Assist with planning and strategy for the technical design, development, and integration of these applications.
• Prepare detailed design specifications, gather requirements from end users, business analysts, and technical resources.
• Develop code and test computer programs for straightforward assignments.
• Review, analyze, and modify programming systems, including encoding, testing, and debugging.
• Participate in the technical design, development, and integration of cross‑functional, multi‑platform application systems.
• Effectively interact with team members, end users, business analysts, and technical resources to gather requirements and prepare design specifications as instructed by senior team members.

Qualifications

• At least 10 years of professional experience.
• Strong Java (Java EE/Java SE) development skills.
• Good knowledge of GoLang (asset).
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker), Azure Cloud Services (Azure SQL, Databricks, ADLS, Event Hub, ADF), PostgreSQL, Kubernetes (or RedHat OpenShift), Web Services/API, web security, networking, and Unix.
• Experience acting as a subject‑matter expert to other developers while performing hands‑on coding.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Accounting, Management Information Systems, or a related field of study (or equivalent professional certification).
