European XFEL is an international non-profit company located in the Hamburg area in Germany. As part of the BSBF international traineeship scheme, and as of October 2026, we are looking for an The Position You will help the EuXFEL’s Control Software group integrate hardware into the facility’s control system, Karabo, and implement procedures therein. This includes: Collaboratively develop plugins for the control system, so-called devices, that implement specific functionality or interface to hardware Write and execute tests for the software Design and implement user interfaces Participate in commissioning of the software Engage in code-review within the group Requirements Currently enrolled Bachelor or Master Student in STEM field.
