Job Description
Must Have Technical/Functional Skills
- Rockwell Automation ControlLogix system design experience, including motion, ladder logic, and safety programming experience.
- Siemens Step 7 or other PLC version experience is desired.
- Function block and structured text programming is desired but not required.
- Must be proficient in Rockwell Software PLC Programming, Studio 5000.
- Must be proficient in Rockwell Software HMI Programming, FactoryTalk View Studio.
- Must understand PLC Hardware and Communication Protocols.
- Machine Safety Systems
- Knowledge of following would be preferred:
- Robotic Systems: Fanuc and Nachi
- Vision Systems: Cognex, Keyence and Coherix
- Fanuc PMC ladder in CNC equipment
Roles & Responsibilities
- Develops and designs control systems; develops and implements bench tests; alters software and equipment to ensure that sensors and actuators are functioning according to specifications; supports and debugs complex problems and change requests.
- Responsible for the installation and technical support of Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) based hardware and software. Coaches and mentors are less experienced Controls Engineers
- Support Control activities for RMEP, CEP and CMEP Plant transformation in the Assembly, and or Machining areas as needed. This will include:
- Collaborating with other engineering disciplines in the plant to develop and improve processes and equipment in the plant.
- Work with equipment suppliers and drive programming, network, architecture, hardware and documentation standards for new equipment.
- PLC, HMI and MES Programming Changes
- Production support as needed.
