CONTROLLER – CONSTRUCTION
HYBRID - 3 -DAYS A WEEK AT HOME!
I’m working on a great Controller opportunity with a growing construction company that is approaching $80M in revenue with a young leadership team and a strong company culture.
This is a newly important role where you will have significant visibility with leadership and the opportunity to build processes, improve systems, and take ownership of the accounting function.

WHAT THEY’RE LOOKING FOR:
- 5–10+ years of accounting experience
- Construction industry experience is required
- Strong WIP and job costing experience
- Understanding of construction accounting and project profitability
- Experience with construction accounting software is a major plus
- Strong Excel skills
- Current Controller or strong Assistant Controller ready to take the next step
- Hands-on, entrepreneurial approach
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee all accounting operations and financial reporting
- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close
- Manage WIP, job costing, revenue recognition, and project profitability
- Monitor cash flow and working capital
- Oversee A/R, A/P, payroll, and reconciliations
- Establish and strengthen internal controls and accounting procedures
- Partner with Project Managers and Superintendents on monthly cost reviews
- Manage subcontractor costs and vendor payments
- Support budgeting, forecasting, insurance, banking, and CPA relationships
- Lead process improvements and accounting system implementation
