Location: Providence, RI
Salary: $125,000$150,000 base + benefits and bonus potential
Hybrid work schedule 3 days/week in office

Key Responsibilities of the Controller:
- Lead all accounting and financial operations, including the general ledger and monthly/year-end close
- Prepare and present accurate financial reports for leadership, funders, and stakeholders
- Support annual budgeting, forecasting, and program-level financial planning
- Oversee compliance with GAAP and federal/state regulations, including audits and Form 990
- Manage, mentor, and develop finance staff while improving processes and controls
Qualifications of the Controller:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance (MBA/CPA preferred)
- Strong nonprofit accounting and compliance experience
- Proven ability to lead close processes and manage a finance team
- Clear communicator with a hands-on, practical leadership style
