Position Summary
The Controller is responsible for overseeing all accounting operations, financial reporting, internal controls, and compliance activities. This role ensures the accuracy and integrity of financial information while leading the organization's day-to-day accounting functions and supporting strategic business decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
- Prepare and review accurate financial statements and management reports
- Maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with GAAP, company policies, and regulatory requirements
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial planning activities
- Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, fixed assets, and general ledger functions
- Coordinate external audits and serve as the primary contact for auditors, tax advisors, and banking partners
- Analyze financial performance and provide actionable insights to executive leadership
- Develop, mentor, and manage accounting and finance staff
- Drive process improvements, system implementations, and operational efficiencies
- Support strategic initiatives, acquisitions, and business growth objectives
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong financial reporting and financial analysis capabilities
- Deep understanding of GAAP accounting principles (IFRS knowledge a plus)
- Experience with internal controls, compliance, and audit management
- Budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management expertise
- Proficiency with ERP systems and accounting software
- Strong leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Ability to identify process improvements and implement scalable financial controls
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred
