About the Role
We are partnering with a growing commercial construction organization to hire a Commercial Controller. This is a highly visible leadership role supporting multiple business units within a fast-paced, acquisitive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead accounting and financial operations across multiple entities
- Own financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow
- Manage month-end close and general ledger accuracy
- Oversee job costing, WIP schedules, % completion, and billing
- Partner with operations to improve project profitability and cash flow
- Present financial insights in a clear, actionable way to non-finance teams
- Lead and develop a team
- Drive process improvements, controls, and post-acquisition integration
What You Bring
- Commercial construction experience REQUIRED
- Strong expertise in WIP, job costing, and percent-completion accounting
- 6+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience
- Experience overseeing multiple entities or business units
- Strong leadership, communication, and EQ
- Ability to translate financials to operational teams
- CPA / ERP experience a plus

- Reports to executive leadership (high visibility role)
