Java Backend Developer

Senior/Mid-level - Java Core Backend Developer
Tech Team is looking for a mid-level to Senior Core Java Backend Developers to build and enhance high performance, scalable backend systems supporting Wealth & Advice Solutions Tech platforms. These platforms enable the firms Wealth & Advice Solutions (WAS) business, serving high net worth and ultra high net worth investors.

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands on backend development experience using Core Java (Java 8 or above)
• Strong experience with Spring Framework, specifically:
  • Spring Batch and
  • Spring Boot
• Proven experience working with PostgreSQL or similar relational databases
• Solid understanding of SQL, data modelling, and batch oriented data processing
• Experience building and supporting RESTful services
• Strong grasp of object oriented design principles, multithreading, and performance optimization
• Experience working in Agile / Scrum delivery models
• Proactively detect, troubleshoot, and remediate issues affecting production applications.
• Provide clear, concise, and timely communication to affected parties during the investigation and resolution of any individual or system-wide outage.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, including team interaction and communication skills including ability to work in cross functional teams
• Experience with messaging and streaming platforms:
  • Apache Kafka
  • RabbitMQ
  • Other MQ / event driven systems
• Experience with file based integration patterns, including:
  • SFTP
  • Secure file sharing services
• Familiarity with job scheduling tools (e.g., Control M or equivalent)
• Understanding cloud-native enterprise applications deployed in PCF, AWS, GCP or Azure.
• Experience with continuous integration and delivery tools - GitHub/Git Actions.
• Prior experience in Financial Services, Wealth Management, or Asset Management domains Preferred
