Core Java Developer

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Core Java Developer to join the Consumer & Community Banking Debit team. This team develops and supports critical applications that handle a high volume of debit card transactions. You will work closely with distributed teams across the U.S. and India to build secure, scalable, and high-performing applications in an agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable Java-based applications using Spring Boot.
• Build and enhance microservices for high-volume transaction processing.
• Develop event-driven solutions using Apache Kafka.
• Write secure, high-quality production code and troubleshoot complex technical issues.
• Work with SQL/Oracle databases for application development and optimization.
• Participate in CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes.
• Monitor application health using observability tools such as Splunk and Grafana.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve system performance, resiliency, and reliability.
• Contribute to architecture, design discussions, and software engineering best practices.

Must Have

• 3+ years of Java development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot.
• Experience with Apache Kafka.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes.
• Strong SQL/database skills.
• Experience with observability/monitoring tools such as Splunk and Grafana.

Nice to Have

• AWS or cloud platform experience.
• Experience with Microservices, Oracle DB, Containers, Dynatrace, or Pivotal Cloud Foundry.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and SDLC.
