Correspondence Processor (Remote)

The Correspondence Processor is a non-clinical role responsible for processing and monitoring member and provider correspondence, generating letters, and ensuring adherence to established utilization management policies and procedures. This position requires strong attention to detail, the ability to work independently, and excellent communication skills.

Schedule Options

Candidates must be available for one of the following schedules (PST):

  • Sunday through Thursday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM
  • Tuesday through Saturday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM

Qualifications

Required Experience

  • 1-2 years of professional experience
  • Previous experience in the healthcare or medical field preferred, particularly within managed care environments

Education

  • High School Diploma or GED required

Key Responsibilities

  • Process and monitor member and provider correspondence through internal letter management systems
  • Generate correspondence and letters using approved templates
  • Select appropriate templates based on business requirements
  • Perform basic grammar and quality reviews of outgoing correspondence
  • Maintain compliance with utilization management policies and procedures
  • Accurately manage multiple tasks while meeting deadlines

Additional Requirements

  • Consistent attendance is required, with no unscheduled time off during the first 90 days of assignment
  • Must be comfortable working independently in a remote environment
  • Must maintain regular communication with leadership and team members

Assignment Details

  • Expected duration: Up to 6 months
  • Extension or conversion to full-time employment: Not anticipated

Preferred Background

Experience supporting healthcare-related correspondence, administrative operations, utilization management, Medicaid, Medicare, Marketplace, or other health plan environments is a plus.
