About Altogether Group
Altogether Group is a leading Australian infrastructure services provider delivering wastewater, recycled water, energy and data solutions to growing communities across Australia.
As our business continues to grow, so does the importance of our data. From customer information and operational performance through to asset management, forecasting and growth planning, data plays a critical role in how we make decisions and deliver services.
We're looking for a curious and capable Data Analyst who wants to help build the data foundations that will support the next stage of our growth.
About the Role
This is not a role focused solely on building dashboards.
We're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys working with data, understanding what it means, questioning what doesn't look right, and helping create better ways of managing information across the business.
You'll work across multiple functions including customer operations, engineering, asset management, finance and utilities services. You'll help bring structure to data currently stored across different systems and spreadsheets, improve data quality, develop meaningful reporting and support business forecasting and decision-making.
This is an opportunity to make a visible impact in a growing organisation where your work will directly influence how the business scales in the future.
What You'll Be Doing
Analyse and interpret data from across the business to identify trends, risks and opportunities
Develop meaningful reporting and insights that support operational and strategic decision-making
Improve data quality, consistency and integrity across multiple data sources
Help establish practical data governance and management practices
Work with large datasets from customer, operational, engineering and asset systems
Support forecasting, capacity planning and business performance analysis
Assist with database management and data structuring initiatives
Build and maintain reports, dashboards and analytical tools using Power BI and other platforms
About You
You're naturally curious and enjoy understanding how things work.
You like digging into data, finding answers, challenging assumptions and turning information into actionable insights. You're not satisfied with simply producing a report—you want to understand whether the data is reliable, what it means and how it can help the business perform better.
You may be early in your career, but you have strong technical foundations and a genuine desire to learn and grow.
Skills & Experience
Degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Analytics or a related discipline
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Experience using Python for data analysis, manipulation and reporting
Experience with SQL and database management concepts
Experience developing reports and visualisations using Power BI
Advanced Excel skills
Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
Highly Regarded
Exposure to data governance and data quality frameworks
Experience working with large, complex or fragmented datasets
Knowledge of forecasting, predictive analytics or statistical modelling
Experience in utilities, infrastructure, engineering or asset-intensive industries
Exposure to cloud-based data platforms and modern data architecture
What Success Looks Like
Data is more accurate, consistent and accessible across the business
Reporting provides meaningful insights rather than just information
Business leaders have greater confidence in decision-making
Forecasting and performance analysis become more reliable
Scalable data practices are established to support future growth
Why Join Altogether?
Be part of a growing organisation with a genuine appetite for data-driven decision making
Work across diverse business functions and datasets
Influence how data is managed and used across the organisation
Develop your technical and commercial skills in a supportive environment
Work with experienced leaders who value curiosity, initiative and continuous improvement
Convenient North Sydney location
If you're someone who enjoys number crunching, asking questions, solving problems and turning data into meaningful business outcomes, we'd love to hear from you.
