We're recruiting for a
Senior API & Integration Developer
to join a well-established in-house engineering team, working on a long-term digital transformation programme. This is an opportunity to build business-critical integration solutions that connect systems across a large organisation, with a focus on modern technologies, clean architecture and engineering excellence.
What you'll be doing Design, develop and maintain Java-based APIs and integration solutions. Build secure and scalable RESTful services using Spring Boot and Spring Cloud. Develop integrations between internal and external business applications. Create event-driven solutions using messaging technologies such as RabbitMQ. Collaborate with developers, architects and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality software. Write clean, maintainable and well-tested code, following Agile and TDD best practices. Contribute to the ongoing improvement of integration architecture and development standards.
What we're looking for 5+ years' commercial Java development experience. Strong experience with Java 11+ and Spring Boot. Experience building REST APIs and system integrations. Knowledge of messaging technologies such as RabbitMQ, Kafka, ActiveMQ or similar. Experience with Hibernate/JPA and SQL databases. Understanding of OAuth and API security. Experience using Git and CI/CD pipelines. Strong communication skills and the ability to work with both technical teams and business stakeholders.
