Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer / Analytics Engineer with strong expertise in dbt, SQL, Trino/Presto, and AWS to build and maintain scalable data transformation pipelines and analytics solutions.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with data modeling, data warehousing, ETL/ELT pipelines, workflow orchestration, and modern data stack technologies. This role will work with large-scale, distributed data environments and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver data-driven insights around performance, capacity, and cost engineering.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and optimize scalable data transformation pipelines using dbt and SQL.
- Build and maintain data ingestion, transformation, scheduling, and analytics workflows.
- Develop robust data models and data warehouse solutions.
- Work with Trino/Presto to query and analyze large-scale distributed datasets.
- Build and manage ETL/ELT pipelines using Python, Apache Airflow, and other data engineering technologies.
- Work with AWS data and database services, including AWS RDS.
- Work with relational databases such as MySQL and PostgreSQL.
- Collaborate with domain experts and cross-functional engineering teams to understand business and technical requirements.
- Develop automated data models and contribute to pipeline architecture and optimization.
- Analyze complex datasets and provide actionable, data-driven recommendations.
- Support BI, reporting, analytics, and data visualization initiatives.
- Implement data quality, reliability, and performance improvements.
- Participate in code reviews and maintain source-controlled data engineering workflows using Git.
- Contribute to CI/CD, DevOps, and GitOps practices for data pipelines.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Analytics Engineering, Data Warehousing, Software Development, or Data Science.
- Strong hands-on experience with dbt.
- Strong SQL development and data analysis skills.
- Experience with data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL/ELT pipelines.
- Experience with Trino or Presto.
- Experience working with modern data stack technologies..
