The company you'll be joining is a fast-growing energy-tech organisation based in Leuven, focused on using data, software, and technology to support the transition towards a more efficient and sustainable energy system.


Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines.
  • Build and optimise cloud-based data lakes, data warehouses, and modern data platforms.
  • Integrate data from APIs, databases, IoT devices, and enterprise systems.
  • Develop reliable data models supporting analytics, forecasting, and business intelligence.
  • Ensure data quality, monitoring, governance, and orchestration best practices.
  • Contribute to cloud-native development, CI/CD, automation, and infrastructure improvements.


Your Profile

  • 2–5 years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.
  • Strong Python and SQL skills.
  • Experience building production ETL/ELT pipelines.
  • Hands-on experience with Databricks, Snowflake, dbt, Airflow, Microsoft Fabric, or similar technologies.
  • Experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP.
  • Knowledge of Apache Spark and modern data platform architectures.
  • Experience with Docker, Git, CI/CD, and Kubernetes is an advantage.
  • Experience with energy, IoT, industrial, or time-series data is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
  • Fluent in English.
