Green Light Australia are partnering with a leading company to engage Data Engineer to join their team.
Responsibilities:
- Design and Develop Data Pipelines
- Design and support modern data platforms including Data Warehouses, Data Lakes, and Lakehouse environments that meet current and future business needs
- Develop Data Models ((e.g. Star Schema, Data Vault, or Lakehouse architectures
- Manage deployment of efficient, resilient, and fault-tolerant data workflows across on-premises and cloud environments, and continuously monitor these data workflows for operational stability and reliability
- Collaborate with source system owners to establish secure and efficient data integration points using ETL, ELT, and API patterns
- Partner with business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into scalable technical data solutions that enhance reporting and analysis
- Provide technical expertise to analysts on SQL optimization, indexing, and modern warehousing concepts
- Ensure data quality and consistency
Requirements:
- Proven experience in similar roles as in similar roles as Senior Data Engineer for large complex environments.
- Strong experience with data modelling (Relational/Dimensional), ETL/ELT, and managing complex data structures
- Strong experience with SQL, Python Experience with Cloud Data Platforms (eg, GCP, Snowflake, Databricks) as well as Databases (eg, SQL Server, Oracle)
- Proven experience with version control (eg, Git), workflow orchestration (eg, Airflow), and performance tuning (cloud/on-prem)
- Strong understanding of data visualization tools (eg, Power BI, Tableau) for reporting
- Experience working within the energy/utilities sector
- Excellent communication and strong stakeholder engagement skills.
