JD: This is a build-focused role requiring strong expertise in data extraction, transformation, reconciliation, and production-grade pipeline development across migration and post-go-live integrations.


Must-Have Skills:
  • Data Engineering (Python)
  • Strong Python fundamentals with experience in data processing (pandas, NumPy)
  • Ability to write clean, efficient, and production-grade code with error handling
  • PySpark / Big Data
  • Expertise in distributed data processing
  • Hands-on with transformations vs actions, joins, partitioning, and performance tuning
  • Experience handling large-scale data and memory optimization
  • AWS Data Ecosystem
  • Hands-on with S3, EMR, AWS Glue, Redshift, Step Functions
  • Experience designing cloud-native data pipelines and orchestration
  • Data Modeling & Architecture
  • Strong understanding of fact/dimension modeling and SCDs
  • Experience designing scalable schemas and ETL/ELT workflows

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead end-to-end data migration from UKG (Pro/Dimensions) to Workday HCM
  • Extract HR data (employee, position, org structure, compensation, benefits, time, accruals) via APIs, BI tools, or DB access
  • Design and build ETL/ELT pipelines for downstream enterprise integrations
  • Implement CDC and delta load patterns using GoldenGate and/or AWS-native services
  • Execute mock cycles (Mock 1, Mock 2, Dress Rehearsal, Go-Live) with reconciliation (row counts, hash totals, key validation)
  • Identify and resolve data discrepancies in partnership with functional and integration teams
  • Ensure data quality, integrity, and auditability across migration and steady-state pipelines
  • Apply data security controls (PII masking, RBAC, SOX-aligned change management)
  • Support cutover planning, sequencing, and data validation activities
  • Create design documents, mapping specs, runbooks, and audit logs

Required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field

The salary range for this role is $110 - $130 k. For corp-Corp rates please contact the recruiter.
