Here's what you need to know about this position:
THE WORK - Lead the design and evolution of the full data stack from ingestion to consumption ensuring systems remain scalable and reliable.
- Collaborate closely with Product Analytics and Engineering teams to build data solutions that deliver actionable insights for both customers and internal teams.
- Set and promote high standards for data quality security and governance throughout the organization.
- Own the technical architecture and daily operations of data pipelines data warehouses and self-service analytics platforms.
- Create tools that bring transparency to company-wide business outcomes and improve data accessibility.
- Manage cloud data technologies preferably on AWS along with orchestration and transformation tools.
- Drive metric standardization and champion data engineering best practices across the company.
NEEDED EXPERTISE
- Based in Mexico City and available to work in a hybrid setup.
- 4+ years of hands-on experience designing and building scalable data pipelines and architectures.
- Strong expertise in SQL data modeling both relational and dimensional and data warehouse management especially with Snowflake.
- Experience with transformation and orchestration tools like dbt Airflow Prefect Airbyte and Kafka.
- Solid knowledge of cloud technologies particularly AWS including S3 Redshift and RDS.
Familiarity with Terraform Docker and Kubernetes is a plus.
- Proficiency in Python programming and Unix Linux scripting.
- Experience building or supporting semantic layers for self-serve analytics and working with BI tools such as Looker Tableau or Sisense.
- Strong experience collaborating with Product, Analytics, and Engineering teams to build impactful data solutions.
