Senior Data Engineering Manager
The Senior Data Engineering Manager leads a data engineering team within the Data Technology organization, overseeing the development and delivery of technical solutions that support the bank's data strategy. This leader sets vision and direction for their team's domain, ensures alignment with the Data Office and stakeholders across the bank and IT, and collaborates with other product owners and managers to deliver customer value. The Senior Data Engineering Manager guides and mentors data engineers, fosters a culture of innovation and excellence, and promotes best practices in data engineering and agile methodologies. This role reports to the Chief Data Technology Officer and works closely with the Enterprise Architecture, Info Security, and Data Governance organizations.
The salary range for this position is $98,400/yr - $199,000/yr plus bonus. The base salary indicated for this position reflects the compensation range applicable to all levels of the role across the United States. Actual salary offers within this range may vary based on a number of factors, including the specific responsibilities of the position, the candidate's relevant skills and professional experience, educational qualifications, and geographic location.

Qualifications and education requirements include a bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent work experience, 8+ years data engineering, 3+ years managing and leading data engineering teams, 3+ years cloud data platforms, and 3+ years technical product owner/product manager for data products, platforms, or solutions using Scrum or Kanban.
Technical skills include expertise in building scalable, reliable, and secure data solutions, experience working with stakeholders on gathering requirements, defining user stories, and translating business needs into data solutions, experience in scripting tools, experience in orchestration tools or job schedulers, experience in data modeling, data quality, data governance, and data security standards and best practices, experience in code repositories and version control tools, experience in analytical and data visualization tools, and strong T-SQL proficiency.
