About the Role
We are looking for a Squad Lead Engineer to join one of its agile squads. This is a “first among equals” position: the Lead Engineer sets the technical tone for the squad, reviews and advises on the work of other engineers, and helps drive the team toward engineering best practices — all while remaining a hands-on contributor.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the technical leader within the squad, setting the tone for how the other engineers operate.
- Review and advise on code and technical deliverables produced by the team.
- Champion engineering best practices and help the squad continuously improve.
- Explain technical topics clearly to analysts and other non-technical team members.
- Partner closely with the Technical Product Owner (TPO) to advise business stakeholders on technical matters.
- Contribute hands-on to data engineering and architecture work as an active member of the squad.
Must-Have Skills (Excluyentes)
- Proven experience as a senior / lead data engineer, comfortable setting technical direction for a team.
- Experience with AWS, BI skills
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Experience partnering with Product Owners and/or business stakeholders.
- Advanced English proficiency, written and spoken.
- Based in a country with meaningful business-hours overlap with U.S. time zones.
Nice-to-Have Skills (No Excluyentes)
- Familiarity with MedTech and/or Life Sciences data, particularly in the commercial data space.
