The Kafka Integration Developer is responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and supporting event-driven integration solutions using Apache Kafka. This role focuses on building scalable, reliable, and secure streaming platforms while ensuring high availability, performance, and alignment with enterprise integration standards.

Key Responsibilities:

● Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to understand event-driven integration requirements and translate them into scalable Kafka-based solutions.

● Design, develop, test, deploy, and support Kafka producers, consumers, and event streaming integrations.

● Develop and maintain Kafka topics, schemas, connectors, and messaging patterns following enterprise standards.

● Monitor Kafka platform health, performance, throughput, and availability, ensuring adherence to SLAs.

● Troubleshoot production incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures.

● Work closely with integration, application, cloud, and infrastructure teams to ensure seamless data exchange.

● Support platform governance, security, access management, and best practices for Kafka implementations.

● Optimize Kafka performance, partitioning strategies, replication, and consumer group configurations.

● Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, automation, and documentation for Kafka integration solutions.

● Identify technical risks during development and deployment and implement mitigation strategies.

Qualifications:

● Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field.

● 5+ years of hands-on experience with Apache Kafka development and support.

● Experience developing Kafka Producers, Consumers, Kafka Connect, and Schema Registry integrations.

● Strong understanding of event-driven architecture, messaging patterns, and distributed systems.

● Experience with Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and cloud platforms (Azure/AWS preferred).

● Knowledge of monitoring tools, logging, and performance tuning.

● Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. ● Good communication and collaboration skills.

● Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
