Data Platform Engineer

We are on the hunt for an experienced Technical Lead - Data Platform & Engineering to lead the design, development, and automation of enterprise data platform solutions. This is a hands-on technical leadership role for an individual who enjoys building scalable, high-performing systems while driving engineering best practices. The ideal candidate will combine strong development expertise with database and infrastructure automation experience to deliver reliable, enterprise-grade solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, development, and support of enterprise data platform solutions.
- Develop and implement infrastructure automation using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and configuration management best practices.
- Design, optimize, and maintain relational database environments, including PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle, or similar technologies.
- Build scalable automation solutions to improve deployment, reliability, and operational efficiency.
- Design and implement highly available, secure, and scalable data platform solutions supporting enterprise workloads.
- Collaborate with architects, infrastructure teams, and business stakeholders to define and deliver technical solutions.
- Provide hands-on technical leadership, perform code reviews, and mentor development team members.
- Establish and promote engineering best practices, coding standards, and performance optimization.
- Participate in solution design, technical planning, troubleshooting, and production support.
Required Qualifications:
- 8 10 years of hands-on development and engineering experience, including experience in a Technical Lead capacity.
- Proven experience designing and implementing highly available, secure, and scalable database/data platform solutions supporting enterprise workloads.
- Strong knowledge of relational database technologies such as PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle, or similar platforms.
- Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC), configuration management, and infrastructure automation practices.
- Hands-on scripting and development experience supporting database platforms, infrastructure automation, configuration management, or related engineering activities.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps methodologies, and automation frameworks.
- Experience in one or more programming languages such as Java, Python, C#, or similar enterprise development technologies.
- Experience supporting enterprise data platforms and distributed systems.
- Experience working in large-scale enterprise or manufacturing environments is a plus.
