Data Program Manager Role
Data Program Managers turn a collection of technical projects into one coordinated program that delivers. They align teams, funding, dependencies, schedules, risks, and decisions across data platforms, analytics, governance, software, and artificial intelligence initiatives where no single workstream can succeed alone.
The work is both strategic and intensely practical. You stay calm when several workstreams move at once. You can speak with engineers about delivery risk, with executives about outcomes and tradeoffs, and with stakeholders about what will happen next.
A working foundation in program or project delivery across multiple teams, workstreams, or vendors.
Experience managing scope, schedules, resources, risks, issues, dependencies, and executive decisions.
Technical fluency in data, analytics, software, cloud, or artificial intelligence sufficient to assess delivery assumptions and consequences.
The ability to establish meaningful performance measures and connect project outputs to program benefits.
Clear written and oral communication, disciplined documentation, and sound judgment in regulated or mission-critical environments.
