You will take the lead in our hands-on migration initiative, transitioning our core data stack to a Kubernetes environment. This role not only emphasizes technical migration skills but also operational excellence through monitoring and optimization of data applications, including Spark and Elasticsearch. You'll partner with our SRE team to ensure reliability and high performance across the entire platform.
Key Responsibilities: • Implement migration of data stacks with Infrastructure as Code • Ensure zero downtime for stateful applications during migration • Manage the lifecycle and health of production data systems • Create alerting and monitoring frameworks for cluster health • Collaborate on distributed tracing and SLO definitions
Requirements: • Minimum 7 years in data or platform engineering roles • Advanced knowledge of Kubernetes operations • Proficiency with tools like Terraform and GitOps • Deep experience with data applications like Druid or Spark • Strong English communication skills across time zones
