The Visualization Engineer Specialist is responsible for designing, delivering, and supporting enterprise analytics experiences that transform trusted data into actionable business insights. Working primarily within the Microsoft Power BI ecosystem, and supporting ThoughtSpot and Tableau capabilities, this role partners with business stakeholders, data engineers, and product teams to create scalable reporting, self-service analytics, and AI-enabled decision solutions.
The role serves as a key contributor to Baker Hughes' Data & AI strategy by enabling modern analytics experiences, integrating emerging capabilities such as Copilot, ThoughtSpot Spotter, Genie, Pulse, and other AI-driven insights technologies that help users interact with data through natural language, automated insights, and proactive intelligence.
AsDigital Technology Experienced Professional you will be Responsible for :
Designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise dashboards, scorecards, semantic models, and analytics solutions using Power BI.
Partnering with Data Engineering teams to deliver business-facing solutions powered by Databricks and enterprise data products.
Translating complex business requirements into intuitive visual experiences that promote adoption, self-service analytics, and data-driven decision making.
Developing reusable metrics, KPIs, semantic models, and reporting standards to improve consistency and trust in enterprise reporting.
Driving visualization best practices around user experience, accessibility, storytelling, performance, and actionable insights.
Enabling and support AI-powered analytics capabilities including Power BI Copilot, ThoughtSpot Spotter, Databricks Genie, and similar technologies that simplify data consumption and accelerate insight generation.
Evaluating opportunities to automate reporting, surface intelligent recommendations, and reduce manual analysis through AI-assisted analytics capabilities.
Supporting platform modernization initiatives, including Tableau rationalization and migration efforts to strategic analytics platforms.
Ensuring analytics solutions comply with enterprise governance, security, privacy, and data quality standards.
Troubleshooting reporting, semantic model, performance, and user adoption challenges across supported visualization platforms.
Creating standards, documentation, and enablement materials to accelerate adoption of enterprise analytics capabilities.
Fuel your passion
To be successful in this role you will:
Have a Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, Engineering, or related discipline.
Have a minimum 5 years of experience developing enterprise analytics and visualization solutions.
Have a Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Power BI, including semantic modeling, DAX, Power Query, report development, deployment, and workspace governance.
Have experience with ThoughtSpot and/or Tableau development and administration.
Have a Strong SQL, data modeling, and analytical problem-solving skills.
Have experience working with Databricks, cloud data platforms, or modern Lakehouse architectures.
Have an Understanding of enterprise analytics governance, security, and data management practices.
Have experience interacting directly with business stakeholders and converting requirements into scalable analytics solutions.
Desired Characteristics
Have experience supporting enterprise-scale Power BI and analytics platforms.
Have Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric, AI-assisted analytics, and modern Data & AI architectures.
Have a Strong understanding of conversational analytics, natural language querying, and AI-driven insight generation.
Have Experience implementing or supporting capabilities such as Copilot, ThoughtSpot Spotter, Genie, Pulse, or similar intelligent analytics tools.
Have a Passion for simplifying complex data through intuitive user experiences and compelling data storytelling.
Have a Strong automation mindset with the ability to identify opportunities to reduce manual reporting and drive insight generation at scale.
Have an experience supporting analytics platform migrations, modernization programs, and self-service analytics initiatives.
Have demonstrated curiosity about emerging AI technologies and their practical application to business intelligence and decision intelligence.
Have Continuous improvement mindset focused on delivering measurable business value through data, analytics, and AI.
