- Assist in designing and developing new database structures using SQL Server and CockroachDB
- Write, test, implement, and performance tune effective SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions to support data access and manipulation
- Contribute to performance optimization efforts by assisting with identifying and resolving database bottlenecks
- Participate in data migration projects, ensuring data integrity throughout the process
- Implement data security best practices under guidance to safeguard sensitive information
- Proactively monitor for and troubleshoot database issues to maintain system uptime
- Develop and maintain SSIS packages for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes
- Write C# scripts within SSIS tasks to perform complex data manipulation logic
- Document and present database designs, queries, and procedures
- Collaborate with software developers
- Stay up-to-date on evolving database technologies
- Provide technical support to users regarding database access and functionality
- Participate in knowledge-sharing, training, and mentoring initiatives as needed
