We are looking for a hands-on and proactive Database Administrator / Developer to manage, optimize, and evolve our PostgreSQL infrastructure hosted on AWS.

What You'll Do
· Design, implement, and maintain PostgreSQL databases running on AWS (RDS / EC2 / Aurora).
· Optimize database performance, write and tune complex SQL queries, indexes, and stored procedures.
· Ensure database availability, reliability, security, and performance.
· Manage data migrations, backups, and disaster recovery strategies.
· Collaborate with backend developers, DevOps, and product teams to align database design with application needs.
· Monitor database health and usage trends; proactively address performance bottlenecks.
· Automate database maintenance tasks where possible (e.g., backups, patching, scaling).
· Implement data governance, security, and compliance best practices.
· Knowledge of Python or JavaScript development
What We're Looking For
· 3+ years of hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, especially in high-availability environments.
· Experience managing PostgreSQL on AWS (RDS, Aurora, or EC2).
· Strong SQL skills with experience in writing complex queries, performance tuning, and query optimization.
· Solid understanding of database design, normalization, indexing, and transaction management.
· Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and DevOps tools (CloudWatch, Terraform, Ansible, CI/CD pipelines, etc.).
· Experience with data backup, restore, replication, and disaster recovery strategies.
· Proficiency in scripting (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation.
· Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
