The Database Developer focuses on the development, maintenance, and optimization of BillingPlatform’s database systems, supporting the daily operations of mission-critical applications. Working closely with developers and adhering to best practices, this role involves implementing effective database solutions aligned with established designs and business requirements. The Database Developer is instrumental in maintaining database performance and reliability while contributing to the team’s collaborative development efforts.
What You'll Do
- Develop and maintain in-house SaaS solution Oracle PL/SQL code, including: Procedures, Functions, Packages, Triggers, Types, Pipeline and Object Functions.
- Analyze and optimize algorithms to improve database efficiency and scalability
- Design and implement database structures aligned with business requirements
- Perform database performance tuning, query optimization, and indexing improvements
- Investigate and resolve issues within existing codebases through root cause analysis
- Collaborate with global teams on strategic initiatives and projects
- Implement solutions accurately and maintain clear technical documentation
- Follow established development standards, policies, and best practices
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience with Oracle PL/SQL development
- Strong understanding of database concepts, data structures, and algorithms
- Experience with database design, optimization, and performance tuning
- Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Oracle Database or other relational database systems
- Strong SQL knowledge and query optimization skills
- Oracle PL/SQL certification or related certifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
