Database Developer (Sql Server & Data Solutions) (Nezahualcóyotl)
We are looking for a Senior Database Administrator (DBA) / Data Engineer with strong expertise in Microsoft SQL Server to lead the design, optimization, and reliability of our data platforms.
In this role, you will own database performance, scalability, and integrity across enterprise systems, while partnering with engineering and analytics teams to ensure efficient data architecture and delivery.
This position requires a hands‐on expert who combines deep database administration skills with a strong understanding of data engineering and modern data ecosystems.
What You'll Do
Design, implement, and maintain high‐performance, scalable database systems (SQL Server and No SQL).
Own database performance tuning, query optimization, indexing strategies, and capacity planning.
Develop and maintain robust ETL/ELT pipelines using SSIS and related tools.
Ensure data integrity, security, backup, and disaster recovery strategies are in place and tested.
Build and optimize data models, schemas, and database objects (tables, views, stored procedures).
Integrate new data systems with existing data warehouse architectures.
Monitor and troubleshoot production environments, ensuring high availability and minimal downtime.
Collaborate with cross‐functional teams (engineering, analytics, product) to define data requirements and solutions.
Establish and enforce best practices, standards, and governance for database development and operations.
Continuously evaluate and adopt new data technologies and optimization techniques.
What You'll Bring
5+ years of experience as a DBA or Database Developer in production environments.
Expert‐level SQL Server knowledge, including performance tuning, indexing, and execution plans.
Strong experience with:
SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) (nice to have)
Proven ability to design and document scalable database architectures.
Experience with data modeling, metadata management, and large‐scale data processing.
Solid understanding of backup/recovery, high availability, and load balancing strategies.
Strong troubleshooting and problem‐solving skills in high‐pressure environments.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver in fast‐paced environments.
Strong communication skills and ability to work cross‐functionally.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or equivalent experience.
Nice to Have
Experience with NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB).
Exposure to Elasticsearch.
Programming experience in C# or Python.
Familiarity with Big Data ecosystems (Hadoop, Spark).
Exposure to Machine Learning workflows or data pipelines.
