Transform database environments as a Senior Database Engineer focused on cloud solutions. Your role will centralize around optimizing AWS Aurora Postgres databases for ultimate performance.
Reporting to the Manager of Software Engineering, you’ll work closely with the operations and development teams to maintain and enhance database solutions that cater to small business needs. Your capabilities will contribute to ensuring responsive database infrastructures in complex environments.
Key Responsibilities:
• Optimize Aurora Postgres database performance for high availability
• Monitor database performance and implement alert systems
• Collaborate with teams on optimizing queries and schemas
• Conduct analysis to manage AWS cloud costs effectively
• Implement caching solutions for improved database efficiency
Requirements:
• 5 to 10 years experience with major databases
• Knowledge of AWS technologies including RDS Proxy
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools, notably Terraform
• Basic proficiency in scripting languages like Python
• Desirable: experience with Rails ActiveRecord and ElasticSearch
