Position: Database Engineer
Location: Hybrid - St Paul, MN

Job Summary
- Design, develop, and implement relational and non-relational databases, data lakes, and cloud-based data platforms, primarily in Microsoft Azure.
- Lead technical initiatives and collaborate across multiple divisions and stakeholders at various organizational levels.
- Utilize Azure cloud services such as Azure SQL, Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and related data engineering tools.
- Develop and implement data transformation solutions and cloud infrastructure integrations.
- Build, test, and deploy programs/scripts for data loading using Azure utilities.
- Manage and monitor cloud infrastructure using tools like Azure Monitor, SQL Analytics, Query Performance Insight, Azure Resource Manager, and Azure CLI/PowerShell.
- Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies using Azure Backup, Geo-replication, or similar tools.
- Implement and manage role-based access control, encryption, and network security.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines utilizing tools such as Azure DevOps or GitHub.
- Track project progress using Agile project management tools like Jira.
- Mentor team members in relevant database and cloud technologies.
- Apply strong organizational and time management skills to ensure effective project delivery.
- Stay updated with cloud computing concepts, data modeling, schema design, indexing strategies, and Data Warehouse Administration.
- (Preferred) Hold relevant Microsoft Azure certifications (DP-300, DP-203) and have experience with Oracle databases and Teradata Data Warehouse.
