Databricks Platform Services Engineer

Insight Global is hiring a Databricks Platform Engineer to support a large-scale Azure-based data & AI platform. This role focuses on building, securing, and scaling Databricks infrastructure in an enterprise healthcare environment.
What you’ll do:
- Design & manage Databricks infrastructure on Azure
- Own workspace lifecycle (dev/test/prod)
- Implement governance with Unity Catalog & access controls
- Manage IAM, networking, and security configurations
- Monitor platform health, usage, and performance
- Build dashboards for observability & cost tracking
- Support onboarding for data/ML teams
- Automate infrastructure using Terraform & CI/CD
- Maintain audit logs, lineage, and compliance reporting
Must-haves:
- 3–5 years in data/platform engineering
- 2+ years Azure (ADF, ADLS, networking, Entra ID)
- 2+ years Databricks (admin, clusters, Unity Catalog)
- Strong Python & PySpark
- Experience with IAM, security, and governance
- Hands-on with enterprise platform operations
Nice to have:
- Databricks certification
- Terraform / IaC experience
- CI/CD (GitHub Actions, etc.)
- Governance tools (Purview, Collibra, Alation)
- Cost optimization & cloud security experience
Compensation : $20-26/hour USD (depending on years of experience)
