Overview
DB2 UDB Developer. Location: Montreal, QC, Canada (Onsite Only).
Note: PL/SQL Developer are accepted for this role if they are ready to learn DB2 UDB.
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced DB2 UDB Developer with strong expertise in database development, Linux scripting, and automation. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience writing complex DB2 queries, stored procedures, and shell scripts, along with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Required Skills
- 7+ years of experience with DB2 UDB database development.
- Expertise in writing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and data retrieval scripts.
- Strong experience with Linux/Unix Shell Scripting.
- Solid experience with Python and/or Perl.
- Experience with Autosys or similar scheduling tools.
- Good understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret business requirements and create technical solutions.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong time management and multitasking skills.
- Willingness to learn and understand business domains.
Desired Skills
- Experience with Greenplum.
- Experience with Informatica.
- Financial Services or Banking industry experience.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Equivalent experience will be considered.
Additional Notes
Candidates with strong PL/SQL development experience and excellent Unix/Linux scripting skills are encouraged to apply, provided they are open to working with DB2 UDB.
