We currently have an exciting 9-month fixed-term, part-time opportunity for an enthusiastic and driven professional to join the Customer & Community team as a Delivery Programs Lead.

About the role:

In this role, you will lead the Residential (Metro) Demand Programs section in the design, implementation, and management of residential water efficiency programs that deliver sustained reductions in water consumption, meet customer expectations, and are delivered on time and within budget.

What you can expect with this role:

  • Develop and lead an effective team committed to continuous development and improvement.
  • Contribute to the business operations of Customer and Industry Partnerships Branch as a member of its lead team.
  • Assist with the identification and acquisition of new sources of funding for the branch, both internally and externally, to allow the development and implementation of new water efficiency initiatives and projects.
  • Work with other branches and regions to influence water efficiency consideration and integration into corporate processes and practices.
  • Enhance the performance of key corporate customer-related business processes through effective implementation of best-practice systems and reporting structures to facilitate improved water efficiency focus and service delivery.
  • Project direct and supervise teams/staff managing and leading the definition, design, implementation and ongoing management of water efficiency projects.

Your skills and experience

  • Tertiary level qualification in a project management, communications, business or social science related discipline and considerable experience in and knowledge of undertaking service delivery related projects in a large customer focussed service delivery organisation.
  • Substantial, demonstrated experience in and knowledge of undertaking service delivery related projects in a large customer focussed service delivery organisation.
  • Considerable experience and knowledge of a Project Director/Project Manager role with respect to project management processes, tendering and contract award processes, contract administration, and people management.
  • Substantial experience and demonstrated achievements in developing and implementing customer- focussed project, strategy, process improvement and change management initiatives
  • Demonstrated well developed knowledge of water industry-related project management principles and procedures.
