Description

We are looking for a Deployment Architect to lead customer deployments for Velocity Operations within the Infor Velocity Suite. In this role, you will own the architectural approach for deploying Velocity capabilities into customer environments, ensuring each rollout is secure, scalable, supportable, and aligned with enterprise operational needs. You will define deployment standards, reference architectures, environment strategy, governance guardrails, and operational readiness criteria that enable consistent execution across customers. The role requires strong leadership in evaluating deployment risks, establishing non-functional requirements, guiding technical decisions, and ensuring solutions are ready for adoption, sustainment, and long-term value realization. The ideal candidate brings deep experience in deployment architecture, customer-facing engagement, and enterprise platform readiness, with a practical understanding of Infor OS, CloudSuite, and the operational considerations required to successfully run Velocity solutions at scale.

A Typical Day in the Life Includes:

  • Own the deployment architecture for Velocity Operations engagements, defining the target architecture and deployment approach for customer environments.
  • Establish reference architectures, deployment standards, and environment design principles to ensure repeatable, scalable, and supportable rollouts across customers.
  • Define non-functional architecture requirements covering security, reliability, observability, scalability, resiliency, and operational supportability.
  • Architect end-to-end deployment patterns across Infor CloudSuite, Infor OS, APIs, data flows, and third-party systems, ensuring alignment with enterprise constraints and operational objectives.
  • Lead architecture reviews for environment readiness, integration readiness, migration readiness, and production cutover, ensuring solutions are fit for go-live and sustainment.
  • Evaluate deployment risks, identify architectural gaps, and define mitigation strategies to improve rollout success and long-term platform stability.
  • Provide architecture governance for key technical decisions, design exceptions, scope boundaries, and operational guardrails throughout the deployment lifecycle.
  • Partner with product, engineering, delivery, and support teams to align deployment architecture with product capabilities, implementation realities, and operational best practices.
  • Promote reusable deployment patterns, automation assets, and standardized operating models that accelerate adoption and improve consistency across Velocity deployments.
  • Create and maintain architecture artifacts, deployment blueprints, decision records, readiness criteria, and customer-facing technical guidance to support successful execution at scale.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in enterprise software deployment architecture, solution architecture, platform engineering, or customer-facing technical consulting, with strong ownership of production rollout readiness.
  • Strong understanding of Infor OS, Infor CloudSuite deployment models, integration architecture, APIs, event-driven patterns, and enterprise platform dependencies.
  • Proven experience defining reference architectures, deployment standards, environment strategies, and governance guardrails for repeatable and scalable customer rollouts.
  • Deep knowledge of non-functional architecture requirements, including security, scalability, resiliency, observability, reliability, and operational supportability.
  • Experience evaluating deployment risks, assessing platform and environment readiness, and guiding architecture decisions through migration, testing, cutover, and post-go-live stabilization.
  • Hands-on experience with REST APIs, integration frameworks, data flows, troubleshooting distributed systems, and resolving deployment and production readiness issues.
  • Experience with process automation and operational improvement technologies such as RPA, process mining, GenAI-enabled workflows, or related transformation solutions is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of architecture documentation, decision records, delivery governance, and collaboration tools such as Jira and Confluence/Wiki.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and workshop facilitation skills, with the ability to engage customer, delivery, product, engineering, and leadership teams on architecture direction and deployment readiness.
