I. Description of Services
Under broad supervision, the Developer 3 monitors, analyzes, designs, and develops the department's computer software applications. This position is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining Crystal Reports, Widgets, Forms, Power Apps, and .NET applications/services. The Developer 3 oversees a variety of in-house, vendor, and commercial software solutions and maintains, supports, and upgrades existing systems to keep the department's software solutions running effectively.
Core Responsibilities:
- Application Development: Design, maintain, and code programs using DBHDD standard programming languages. Code, compile, debug, document, and implement computer programs to meet specific business needs and requirements. Ensure quality development and operation of assigned tasks.
- Report & System Design: Design, build, and maintain Crystal Reports, Widgets, Forms, Power Apps, and .NET applications/services. Involves heavy SQL development and extensive use of Crystal Reporting.
- Business Analysis: Analyze customers' information needs, business problems, and business opportunities to assist in determining the most efficient and effective systems/programming solutions. Assist in the development of application specifications.
- IT Support & Subject Matter Expertise: Function as the IT subject matter expert for the assigned application areas. Provide IT development support, maintaining and upgrading existing systems and applications.
- Team Collaboration: Work within a team environment in both a lead and subordinate position depending on the project's scope.
II. Candidate Skills and Qualifications
Required Experience & Education:
- Education: Bachelor of Information Systems or Computer Science.
- 5+ Years: Application development experience.
- 5+ Years: Experience writing SQL functions, queries, stored procedures, and views. Strong Microsoft SQL Server development related to RDBMS design, UDF, table structures, triggers, transactions, table variables, etc.
- 5+ Years: Understanding of program and report development using program, report, and form development tools (including Crystal Reports knowledge).
- 5+ Years: Proficient in C#.NET with a good knowledge of its ecosystems.
- 5+ Years: .NET web framework experience.
- 5+ Years: Experience with PowerApps, Power BI Services, and Power Automate.
- 5+ Years: Proficient understanding of code versioning tools (DevOps).
- General Skills: Ability to research, analyze information, draw logical inferences, and translate business needs into effective programming solutions.
Highly Desired Experience:
- Knowledge of Hospital EHR (Electronic Health Record) processes and procedures, including but not limited to eMar, order entry, medication dispensing, assessments, and ADT.
- Knowledge of MyAvatar, RxConnect, and Dentrix.
