Hiring: Developer – Data Analytics & Cloud Reporting (Power BI | BigQuery | dbt)

We are seeking an experienced Developer (Data Analytics & Insights) to support enterprise‑level reporting, analytics, and data quality initiatives within a modern cloud‑based environment. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in Agile teams, works confidently across business and technical domains, and delivers high‑quality, scalable reporting solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Analyse complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that support business decision‑making.
Design, build, and enhance Power BI dashboards and enterprise reports.
Develop and optimize SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, validation, and analysis.
Work with Google BigQuery as the primary enterprise data warehouse.
Apply star schema and dimensional modelling principles to support scalable analytics solutions.
Collaborate with Data Engineers and analytics teams to build curated datasets using dbt and Medallion Architecture practices.
Perform data quality checks, reconciliation, issue investigation, and root cause analysis.
Work across modern cloud platforms and legacy systems, including Microsoft SQL Server.
Use GitHub for version control (commits, branching, pull requests, peer review) following GitHub Flow.
Document datasets, logic, and processes in Confluence.
Manage work items and sprint tasks using Jira.
Participate in Agile ceremonies: stand‑ups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, reviews, and retrospectives.
Use VS Code as the primary development environment.
Engage with business and technical stakeholders to translate requirements into effective reporting and data solutions.

Required Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, or equivalent experience.
Proven experience in a Data Analyst / Analytics Developer role.
Strong proficiency in SQL.
Hands‑on experience with Google BigQuery or similar cloud data warehouses.
Solid understanding of star schema and dimensional modelling.
Experience building dashboards and reports in Power BI.
Working knowledge of dbt and modern data transformation practices.
Understanding of Medallion Architecture and layered data platform design.
Experience with GitHub, GitHub Flow, and code review processes.
Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server or similar relational databases.
Experience working in an Agile delivery environment.
Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, and VS Code.
Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, analytical thinking, and problem‑solving skills.
