Junior Developer - Data Analytics & Reporting (Python/PowerBI)
Duration: 6-Month Contract, Potential Extension/Permanent Conversion
Location: Downtown Toronto (Hybrid: onsite on Tuesdays & Wednesdays)
Main Deliverables
- Develop and maintain software solutions using Python.
- Support business and data-related initiatives through application development.
- Contribute to reporting and analytics solutions where required.
- Collaborate with senior team members to deliver high-quality technical solutions.
Technical Stack
- Python
- Power BI (nice to have)
- Data analysis and reporting tools
- Software development best practices
Requirements
- 1-2 years of software development experience (internships/co-op experience acceptable).
- Hands-on development experience with Python.
- Exposure to application development, scripting, or automation projects.
- Experience with Power BI is considered an asset but is not required.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field from a Canadian university is preferred (or evaluated)
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications and scripts.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and enhance existing solutions.
- Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to understand requirements.
- Support data reporting and analytics initiatives.
- Participate in code reviews and follow development standards and best practices.
- Learn and adopt new technologies, tools, and development methodologies as required.
