Job Description
Working as part of a cross‐functional team, you will deliver RDQ activities required to complete Packaging Design and Packaging Deployment for Innovation and Growth projects, as well as productivity projects across multiple geographies, with a focus on delivering the desired consumer experience.
How You Will Contribute
With the support and guidance of a manager, you will organize and execute projects in line with RDQ, marketing and manufacturing requirements, effectively communicating status and risks.
You will plan and conduct activities to generate appropriate packaging information, using sampling, supplier management, and pilot plant and factory trials in accordance with good manufacturing practice and HACCP requirements.
In this role, you will plan and conduct process development activities—such as packaging design and specifications, packaging scale‐up, commissioning, and other related tasks—while helping to plan and effectively use resources, including external agencies.
You will also create technical reports, analyze and interpret results to reach conclusions and recommendations; create and maintain accurate packaging specifications; and generate intellectual property to drive competitive advantage.
Responsibilities
Design and develop new packaging structures, materials, and components based on product, market, and consumer needs.
Manage the full packaging lifecycle, from concept to commercialization.
Identify opportunities to improve existing packaging in terms of performance, efficiency, cost, usability, and sustainability.
Plan and execute packaging tests to ensure compliance with specifications and standards.
Research and evaluate new sustainable packaging materials and technologies.
Manage packaging development projects from concept to commercialization, including defining scope, timelines, and resources.
Ensure suppliers meet technical specifications and quality standards.
Ensure all packaging designs comply with food safety regulations, environmental policies, and applicable legal requirements.
Collaborate within a team and work independently under managerial guidance.
Apply technical knowledge to interpret and analyze data, drawing clear conclusions.
Support specification management to guarantee compliance with quality standards.
Qualifications
Bachelor's or engineering degree in Food Science, Industrial Engineering, Industrial Design, or related fields.
Minimum of one year of experience in packaging, including design, development, material selection, and implementation of packaging solutions.
Advanced proficiency in English.
Experience with packaging engineering and specification development.
Proficiency in SAP, PLM, and SharePoint.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, including technical writing.
Collaborative mindset and technical curiosity.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
