WriteChoice is a technical documentation agency focused on fintech companies. Were looking for a senior Developer Relations / Developer Advocacy professional to build this new service line and complement our documentation services. Youll work directly with our clients and internal teams, leading community, technical content, documentation, and developer experience (DX) initiatives.
This is a hands-on role: youll plan and execute the initiatives below, with the autonomy to define how each area should evolve. We want someone proactive and strategic to make this project work.
What youll do:
Community Positioning
- Track and analyze brand presence and perception among developers (mention monitoring, sentiment, and social listening)
- Plan and run virtual events for the developer community, defining format and cadence
Content Documentation
- Lead initiatives to relaunch and evolve technical documentation
- Create technical marketing content for API products
Developer Experience (DX)
- Investigate adoption barriers and friction points in the developer journey
- Propose improvements to the technical experience, including initiatives like SDKs or other integration solutions (you wont code the solution, but youll design the proposal and work with the technical team responsible for building it)
- Bring market benchmarks and references relevant to startups and developer communities
Structure Process
- Define metrics, processes, and best practices to track the maturity of community and DX initiatives
- Document learnings and iterations to guide the ongoing growth of these efforts
What were looking for:
- 4+ years of combined experience in Developer Relations, Developer Advocacy, Developer Experience, or Community Management
- Prior experience helping structure community, technical content, or DX initiatives (not just executing an already-established program)
- Comfort with API concepts and product development processes. Coding isnt required, but you need to be able to speak directly with software engineers and product people without a translator
- Experience creating technical content (blog posts, documentation, educational materials)
- Fluency in English is essential, as this role involves working with companies in other countries
- A strong, relentless, strategic, and hands-on profile: youll build this area from scratch and initially execute the initiatives.
Nice to have:
- Prior experience with fintech products, payments, financial APIs, and developer tools
- Experience organizing technical events or communities
- Spanish or other languages
How it works:
- Contractor arrangement (PJ-equivalent), fully remote
- Youll operate with autonomy in driving these initiatives, with room to grow into a team/squad leadership role as this area matures
Interested? Send us your profile and, if possible, an example of something youve helped structure or put into practice community, content, a DX program, whatevers relevant.
