As a Senior Development Engineer (Python) in the Financial Services industry, you will design, develop, and maintain Python-based applications to support banking operations in Kowloon. This temporary role offers the chance to work on a renewable contract with competitive monthly compensation.

Description
- Design and develop full-stack applications to automate business processes and improve operational efficiency.
- Build and maintain backend services using Python, with opportunities to work with Java and other programming languages.
- Develop modern frontend applications using React, Next.js, and JavaScript technologies.
- Architect and implement scalable microservices and event-driven solutions.
- Create high-performance backend systems that support business-critical applications.
- Partner with business stakeholders and technical teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely resolutions to minimise business impact.
- Drive software development best practices, ensuring code quality and maintainability.
- Coordinate project delivery and development activities across multiple locations.
- Contribute to CI/CD implementation and continuous improvement initiatives.
Profile
- Strong hands-on experience in Python software development.
- Exposure to additional programming languages such as Java, C++, Go, or Rust.
- Solid understanding of microservices architecture and event-driven design patterns.
- Experience with container technologies including Docker and Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and software development lifecycle methodologies.
- Proven frontend development experience using React, Next.js, and JavaScript.
- Understanding of relational and NoSQL database technologies.
- Familiarity with machine learning, analytics, or data science concepts is advantageous.
- Exposure to Dash or similar UI frameworks is beneficial.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively within distributed and cross-functional teams.
