We are seeking an experienced Development Lead – Full-Stack Java Engineer to join our CLM Team. In this role, you will provide technical leadership while remaining hands-on in the development using Java and Spring Boot, and contributing to frontend development with React and TypeScript when needed. You will lead the technical direction of the team, collaborate closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Architects, and other engineering teams. You should possess strong backend expertise, excellent communication skills, a solution-oriented mindset, and the ability to guide engineers through complex technical challenges while ensuring successful delivery.

YOUR CHALLENGE
- Lead the technical design and implementation of Spring Boot microservices and shared libraries addressing logging, security, messaging (Kafka and other MQs), and other cross-cutting concerns
- Design scalable, maintainable, and reliable software solutions aligned with business and architectural requirements
- Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Architects, and stakeholders to refine requirements, evaluate trade-offs, and translate business needs
- Drive technical decision-making, establish best practices, and ensure consistency across the team's solutions
- Apply integration and architectural patterns such as Inbox/Outbox, event-driven processing, CQRS where appropriate, and other distributed system patterns
- Mentor and support engineers through technical guidance, code reviews, knowledge sharing, and coaching
- Build and enhance frontend interfaces using React with TypeScript when required
- Apply Java design patterns and engineering best practices to ensure maintainable, scalable, and high-quality code
- Analyze complex technical challenges and develop innovative, efficient solutions
- Work with databases, particularly Oracle, including schema design, query optimization, and backend integration
- Contribute to observability, logging, monitoring, and performance optimization across backend services
- Collaborate with QA, DevOps, and other engineering teams to ensure smooth delivery through CI/CD pipelines and production readiness
YOUR PROFILE
Must-Have Skills
- Expert-level Java development with deep experience in Spring Boot and Spring Security
- Proven experience leading as a Technical Lead or Development Lead
- Strong experience with Maven, microservices, and distributed systems
- Excellent understanding of software architecture and system design principles
- Solid understanding of multithreading, concurrency, and performance
- Strong knowledge and of Java design patterns and engineering best practices
- Experience with integration and architectural patterns, including Inbox/Outbox, event-driven design, and other distributed system patterns
- Experience with messaging systems such as Kafka and other MQ technologies
- Ability to lead technical discussions, make architectural decisions, and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience collaborating with Product Owners and Business Analysts to refine requirements and define technical solutions
- Strong mentoring, coaching, and code review skills
- Ability to balance hands-on development with technical leadership responsibilities
- Experience with Oracle databases, including schema design, query optimization, and Java integration
- Very good English level
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, and Helm for containerized applications
- Experience with frontend frameworks (React, Angular, Vue.js) beyond TypeScript basics
- Familiarity with CI/CD and DevOps tooling (GitLab, Jenkins, Azure DevOps)
- Experience with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or Loki
- Understanding of trunk-based development, backward-compatible software design, and release strategies
- Exposure to authentication protocols such as LDAP, OIDC, and Kerberos
- Experience driving technical improvements, architectural modernization, and engineering process enhancements
- Experience working in Agile environments with distributed or cross-functional teams
