Job Description
- Design, implement, and maintain DevOps solutions, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure automation.
- Lead system enhancements, automation initiatives, and client‑driven development projects.
- Provide technical support and ensure service delivery standards are met.
- Mentor and support team members, promoting knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
- Develop and maintain scripts, infrastructure-as-code solutions, and automated deployment processes.
- Monitor and optimise server, network, and virtualisation environments.
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to deliver innovative and reliable IT solutions.
- Prepare reports on team performance, project progress, and client requirements.
- Ensure adherence to DevOps best practices, security standards, and operational procedures.
Qualifications
- Grade 12 qualification.
- Valid driver's licence and own transport.
- Minimum 4 years' experience in IT infrastructure management.
- 3–5 years' experience with Linux, Windows Server, networking, and software development.
- Experience with virtualisation technologies such as VMware, Hyper‑V, or KVM.
- Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Ansible, Terraform, and infrastructure automation.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, PHP, NodeJS, or Perl.
- Experience with Git, Jira, SQL/NoSQL databases, and API integrations.
- Strong networking knowledge (Cisco, Mikrotik, or similar).
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, communication, and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and perform effectively in a fast‑paced environment.
- Relevant certifications and container orchestration experience will be advantageous.
