Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated DevOps Automation Engineer (DAE) I to join our Infrastructure Management team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) practices, with a particular emphasis on Jenkins and Docker. This role is critical in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and efficiency of our infrastructure while supporting the development and deployment of applications.
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins to automate the deployment process.
- Utilize Docker for containerization of applications, ensuring seamless integration and deployment across various environments.
- Collaborate with development teams to understand application requirements and provide infrastructure solutions that enhance performance and reliability.
- Monitor and troubleshoot infrastructure issues, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
- Implement best practices for infrastructure management, including configuration management, version control, and documentation.
- Participate in the planning and execution of infrastructure upgrades and migrations.
- Provide support for production systems, including incident response and root cause analysis.
- Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve infrastructure processes.
Mandatory Skills:
- Strong knowledge of CI/CD practices and tools, specifically Jenkins.
- Proficiency in Docker for containerization and orchestration.
- Experience with scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or similar.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and their services.
- Understanding of networking concepts and protocols.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
- Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
- Understanding of security best practices in infrastructure management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications in DevOps, Cloud Computing, or Infrastructure Management are a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
