In this role you will help design and evolve scalable backend services and DevOps environments to support advanced space missions and satellite operations. You will work with cross‑functional teams to deliver reliable, secure software and infrastructure, balancing performance, availability and cybersecurity. Role Responsibilities
Design, develop and maintain backend applications, APIs and microservices
Develop and optimise DevOps and CI/CD processes for secure, reliable software delivery
Support deployment, integration and validation of new releases and infrastructure components
Ensure system scalability, performance, availability and cybersecurity compliance
Implement and improve automated testing strategies (unit and end‑to‑end)
Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams on mission‑critical systems
Maintain and improve Docker‑based deployment environments and infrastructure automation
Backend development using Java and Spring Boot
Knowledge of Git repositories and CI/CD workflows
Experience with Docker containerisation
Familiarity with Unix / Linux operating systems and scripting
Knowledge of SQL databases
Experience with JSON and XML data formats
