Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated DevOps/Cloud Engineer to join our team in Spain. This is a permanent position offering the opportunity to work at the forefront of industrial cloud infrastructure and automation. The successful candidate will play a key role in the development, testing, and optimisation of our cloud environments, with a focus on enhancing system reliability and scalability for demanding engineering applications. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team ensuring that our high-performance software and data structures move seamlessly from concept through to production. Responsibilities
  • Lead and support the development of scalable cloud infrastructure, with an emphasis on automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
  • Characterise and optimise system performance properties (e.G., uptime, deployment speed, security protocols, and cost-efficiency).
  • Conduct experimental testing and analysis of CI/CD pipelines, cloud configurations, and deployment feedstocks.
  • Collaborate with software developers and design teams to ensure infrastructure performance aligns with end-use applications.
  • Develop and maintain infrastructure databases, security standards, and qualification processes for cloud environments.
  • Support R&D projects, contributing to technical reports regarding cloud architecture and system scalability.
  • Stay current with emerging cloud technologies, DevOps tools, and industry standards in automated manufacturing environments.
Experience / Who You Are
  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in cloud infrastructure development (e.G., AWS, Azure, GCP, or Kubernetes).
  • Strong background in system characterisation (monitoring, logging, and microstructural system analysis).
  • Hands-on experience with automation and testing techniques (CI/CD tools, scripting, and security auditing).
  • Ability to design and execute infrastructure experiments, interpret system data, and draw actionable conclusions.
  • Proficiency in technical reporting and the ability to communicate infrastructure status to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of how digital infrastructure interacts with physical manufacturing data and process-material interactions.
  • Familiarity with simulation tools or virtualized environments for testing system behaviour. xhfqzwm
