Job Summary:

The DevOps Cloud Engineer is a technical expert responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting cloud-based IT solutions primarily on Microsoft Azure and AWS platforms. This advanced role involves building and maintaining scalable, secure infrastructure and collaborating with architects and developers to enhance cloud environments. The engineer will also manage Microsoft Server configurations and oversee application deployments throughout the software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead the operational design, maintenance, and operation of cloud-based platforms including Azure, AWS, and Salesforce.
  • Provide guidance on operational, technical, and procedural best practices to technical teams.
  • Drive automation efforts to reduce manual work and enhance transparency in the cloud ecosystem.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into technical implementations.
  • Deploy, configure, and maintain containers, Kubernetes, and automation tools.
  • Integrate legacy systems with new cloud solutions by identifying gaps and leading implementations.
  • Develop and oversee continuous integration and continuous delivery frameworks and tools.
  • Establish frameworks, processes, and operations for infrastructure as code and automation.
  • Lead testing efforts, analyze results, and communicate findings to stakeholders.
  • Document issues, solutions, and timelines effectively.
  • Assist with implementation of monitoring tools and lead response to operational outages.
  • Manage cloud infrastructure components including networking, storage, and compute services.
  • Provide technical support and leadership across departments, including participation in 24/7 on-call rotations.
Required Skills & Certifications:
  • Expertise in Microsoft Azure and AWS cloud platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Servers (2008 and later) configuration and management.
  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Kubernetes.
  • Proficiency in automation and infrastructure as code tools.
  • Ability to design and implement CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong understanding of cloud networking, storage, and compute services.
  • Experience supporting application deployments across SDLC.
  • Capability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
  • Experience with Salesforce, ServiceNow, and SharePoint cloud environments.
  • Familiarity with legacy system integration.
  • Knowledge of monitoring tools and outage management processes.
  • Certifications such as Azure DevOps Engineer, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, or equivalent.
Special Considerations:
  • Must be able to provide 24/7 on-call support on a rotational basis.
  • Work requires minimal supervision and strong self-management.
Scheduling:
  • Regular shift from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM EST.
  • Possible extension beyond initial 12-month contract duration.
